friends forever (till life after death)

I composed this poem for my close friend mark. He was about to leave Japan that time and be back in the Philippines but praise God he stayed here. I was about to sleep then around 3 am then upon hugging the pillow he gave I remembered him and the moments we had so I came up with this poem.

hugging the pillow you gave makes me feel you're so near
feeling comforted as if your voice I could hear

it gives strength to my heart and helps me face anything i could fear
knowing you are there i am confident that any pain i can bear

so blessed for having a friend like you who do really care
you uplift my soul for every torment and burden i share
you bring joy, love, hope, and fun that is so rare
you're never afraid to be yourself like no other could even dare

our friendship is a treasure worth keeping forever
moments we have spent will remain and i will always remember
you are heaven's sent and answer to my prayer
even fate will separate us i will forget you never

so take care my friend and be still
it's surely the best for us whatever His will
there's always space in my heart that only you can fill
friends forever no matter what and my vows i'll fulfill

the care and love you give i appreciate
time may pass but my love for you will never depreciate
so touched with your thoughtfulness and your heart so passionate
we may be miles away but i will be still affectionate

wherever our dear Lord may lead us both
hoping our friendship will not end till life after death
promise to serve and strengthen each other's faith
and may God let us meet again and cross the same path
